The Challenge: Elevating a Classic Flat Ride
The goal was clear: take the existing Garmendale QuadStar flying ride and integrate a cutting-edge interactive system that perfectly captures the dynamic world of LEGO NINJAGO. The resulting attraction needed to be a highly repeatable, family-friendly adventure where active guest participation and competitive gameplay drive the fun.
Lagotronics Projects delivered the complete interactive technology package, focusing on high aiming accuracy and robust, guest-friendly design. This implementation is now a core feature in two major Legoland parks.
Our Solution: Precision Gameplay in the Skies
Gimbal-Mounted Interactive Devices: Each of the six “dragon-themed” vehicles is equipped with two highly accurate shooters. The devices are lightweight and gimbal-mounted, ensuring they are easy to operate for all age groups while providing a smooth, responsive firing experience.
High-Accuracy Targeting System: We installed 30 individual, interactive targets surrounding the ride area. Our proprietary system guarantees that every hit is registered instantly and fairly, which is essential for compelling gameplay.
Immersive Feedback Loop: The system provides audible and visual feedback upon a successful hit. This crucial element strengthens the interactive experience and motivates teams to score as many points as possible.
Competition and Replayability: The integrated scoring system accurately tracks performance, fueling the competitive spirit among riders. A visible high score display celebrates the best ‘Sky Masters’ and encourages repeat visits.
