Upgrading an existing attraction: a complete new experience!
Rasti-Land in Germany has introduced a new attraction called Foto-Safari. Instead of building a completely new ride, the former “Oldtimer Bahn” has been fully transformed into an interactive outdoor experience filled with fun gameplay elements.
Lagotronics Projects developed and executed the full conversion in close cooperation with Rasti-Land.
Interactive Safari Adventure
Guests travel through a scenic African landscape in five safari vehicles, spotting wildlife along the way. Each vehicle is equipped with two “Magic Photo Cameras,” allowing players to capture animals and scenery during the ride.
A total of 64 interactive targets are integrated throughout the experience. Photographing these targets earns points, but there’s more interaction: when animals are captured, they react by moving, making sounds, or both bringing the environment to life in a surprising way.
At the end of the ride, players see their scores displayed on a large screen, creating a fun and competitive finish for all ages.
A Smart Way to Renew Attractions
Foto-Safari is a project Lagotronics Projects is proud of, showing that a completely new guest experience doesn’t always require a brand-new ride. By upgrading existing attractions, theme parks can create fresh, modern experiences while making smart use of their current assets.
For guests, it feels like a brand-new attraction full of interaction, surprise, and replay value.
