Technical Design and Implementation

As the main contractor, Lagotronics Projects was responsible for the design, installation, and programming of all show equipment and decorations within The Villa. The company collaborated with Leisure Expert Group on the storyline and interior design. The technical scope of Lagotronics Projects' work included:

• Animatronics: The attraction features a range of custom-designed animatronic figures. These animated characters are strategically placed throughout The Villa to create unexpected scares and enhance the narrative. The animatronics are programmed for realistic movements and interactions with guests.

• Sound Design and Integration: A state-of-the-art sound system was installed to craft an immersive and eerie atmosphere. The system dynamically triggers sound effects and unsettling music, in response to guest movement and story progression, ensuring a uniquely personalized experience.

• Lighting Design: A sophisticated lighting system was integrated to enhance the haunted house's ambiance. The lighting changes in sync with the story and the guests location, creating a spooky and immersive experience that builds tension and draws you in.

• Special Effects Integration: Lagotronics Projects integrated a variety of special effects to heighten the sensory experience. These include:
  • Atmospheric Effects: Smoke and fog effects contribute to the eerie ambiance and obscure visibility, creating a sense of unease.
  • Pyrotechnic Simulation: Simulated fire effects, combined with heat and scent elements, create a realistic and dramatic experience, enhancing the illusion of danger.
  • Environmental Effects: Wind effects are used to startle guests and add to the overall tension.
  • Interactive Elements: "Haunted" portraits and other interactive elements react to guest presence, further immersing them in the story.
  • Large-Scale Animatronic: A large-scale animatronic dragon is a key feature, providing a climactic moment within the attraction.

Narrative Integration and Thematic Design

The Villa's narrative, developed in collaboration with Leisure Expert Group, centers around the story of a cursed Victorian Mansion that is for sale. This chilling experience takes visitors on a terrifying journey through its haunted halls, uncovering the tragic fate of its former residents. From the grand hall’s gruesome surprises to the greenhouse’s unnatural horrors, each room reveals scary secrets and demonic encounters. With every step, the line between reality and nightmare blurs, leaving guests questioning what lurks in the shadows.

Lagotronics Projects' technical implementation supports and enhances this narrative, creating an immersive experience for visitors. The combination of sound, lighting, temperature, wind, and scent – contributes to the overall atmosphere and creates a sense of realism.
