Interactive water attraction
At BillyBird Drakenrijk, Lagotronics Projects created an interactive water attraction that transforms visitors into heroes, tasked with saving a burning village from a fearsome dragon. Our team was responsible for the full interactive experience, including the show control, visual content, and system integration.
Playful interaction meets cutting-edge technology
Guests aim with water cannons to extinguish flames in a richly themed facade. Behind each window, high-resolution screens display dynamic flame animations that respond directly to the guests actions. The more water is sprayed, the faster the flames disappear creating an immediate, playful form of interaction that rewards teamwork and encourages multiple kids to participate at the same time.
The attraction’s interactive system relies on water sensors, which detect the flow of water without moving parts. This makes the system both reliable and low-maintenance, even under heavy daily use.
Show, atmosphere and immersion
The show is enhanced with smoke, lighting, and sound effects that heighten the drama as the dragon breathes fire across the village. Audio elements, including the dragon’s roar and the crackle of flames, immerse guests fully in the story, while lighting effects accentuate the action and draw attention to the interactive moments.
The result is a scalable, maintenance-friendly attraction that perfectly blends storytelling and technology. It offers parks a high-impact, repeatable experience that engages visitors of all ages and keeps them coming back for more. With dynamic interactivity, immersive effects, and clear feedback.

BillyBird Drakenrijk, located in Reuver, is a versatile family recreation park offering a wide range of indoor and outdoor attractions. With the addition of a large new indoor area, the park is now open year-round. The park is open daily from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM.
