Now You're Mine

Toverland - Sevenum, The Netherlands

A Haunted Experience in Toverland

Toverland, one of the most popular theme parks in the Netherlands, has opened a new haunted experience for its visitors. This immersive attraction takes visitors to the mysterious Mining Museum Sevenum, where they discover the secrets of the Magnum Opus, a stone that grants eternal life. But beware, the mine is not only full of treasures, but also of dangers.

Lagotronics Projects provided special miner’s helmets for this attraction, which allows visitors to be tracked in real time. This system allows the actors to interact with guests in a more immersive and personal way, giving them a different experience every time. The helmets also feature LED lights that can perform different effects in the dark mining system, adding to the excitement and thrill. The system also integrates with the venue lighting, sound and SFX, taking this haunted experience to a new level!

Now You’re Mine is a haunted house experience, where visitors walk through various scenes related to the mine, the stone and its effects. The walkthrough lasts about 20 minutes and is intended for visitors ages 12 and up. The haunted experiences are only accessible during Toverland’s Halloween Nights.

Remote controlled mining helmets

The system consists of several components that work together to create a seamless and engaging experience for the guests. The main components are:

120 Helmets: Each guest wears a helmet with LED lighting. The helmets allow the system to track each guest’s location and activate effects in the ride, as well as control the lighting on the helmet, based on their actions. The helmets communicate with beacons placed throughout the scenes.

20 Scene Beacons: The beacons are small devices installed in each scene of the attraction. They process the location of visitors, communicate with the helmets and give/receive commands to/from the central PC.

Central control unit: The central PC is the brain of the system. It runs the software that manages the logic and communicates with Toverland’s Show-control unit to initiate custom lighting profiles and effects. These can be triggered by guest presence and interaction. Think show lighting, or helmet lighting, as well as sound, video, animatronics, Special effects, etc.

Touchscreen: A wall-mounted screen with a custom user interface to start a tour and track visitors in real time.
