Hehnahutchn - Wild Swing Pre Show

Bayern Park - Reisbach, Germany

A Chicken Coop Full of Life

The experience begins inside a rustic barn that feels like a real chicken coop only far more entertaining. Dozens of chickens of different sizes and colors populate the scene. Some sit quietly, while others move, wobble, or turn their heads, creating a lively and humorous atmosphere.

In total, 44 chickens were created for the attraction, with 17 animatronic figures bringing movement to the environment. Their motions are intentionally simple and playful head tilts, small rotations, and gentle rocking just like real chickens. By combining moving and static figures, the coop feels alive while keeping the system reliable and cost-efficient.

Guests quickly notice that the coop is anything but calm: chickens swing, eggs travel across a conveyor belt, and playful scenes unfold throughout the space.

A Story Unfolds

At the heart of the pre-show is a mischievous fox. On a monitor disguised as a window inside the coop, the fox suddenly appears and sneaks past the chickens. As it does, feathers start flying inside a nearby cabinet, triggered by a special effect that sends them swirling through the air. The chickens respond with hectical clucking, creating a funny moment that prepares guests for the ride ahead. This small story moment turns the queue and pre-show into an experience rather than just a waiting area.

Integrated Audio, Lighting, and Show Control

To complete the environment, Lagotronics Projects integrated a full audio-visual and show control system.

Guests hear a constant background of clucking chickens and barnyard sounds, while playful music adds to the atmosphere. Strategic speaker placement ensures the soundscape surrounds visitors throughout the coop and queue area.

Lighting further enhances the story. Warm ambient lighting creates the feeling of a barn interior, while red lights simulate eggs incubating in the nest boxes. All audio, video, and lighting elements are synchronized through a central show control system, allowing the effects and animatronics to work together seamlessly.

Designed for Fun

The goal of the project was simple: create a fun and engaging environment that families immediately understand. Instead of complex animatronics, the design focuses on humor, recognizable farm behavior, and charming movement.

The result is a playful pre-show that transforms the queue into part of the attraction.

With this project, Lagotronics Projects once again combined theming, animatronics, audio-visual technology, and show control to turn a simple concept into a memorable guest experience.
